The ES32 features unique two-step scissors style cutting blades to cut up to 500 kcmil (240 mm2). This scissors style along with the thin profile of the tool makes it easy to cut cable in tight places. The ES32 also features a patented "friction drive"” that results in a small and lighter tool. Using the ES32 is easy. For cables less than 500 kcmil(240 mm2), simply put the cable as deep as possible between the blades and pull the trigger. When the cut is complete the tool will stop and the blades will automatically open for the next cut. Cutting 500 kcmil (240 mm2) cable requires two cycles. First, put the cable as deep as possible between the blades and pull the trigger. When the cycle is complete and the blades open, move the cable deeper between the blades and pull the trigger again. This time when the cycle is complete the cable will be cut cleanly and completely. Small, light weight, ergonomic shape. Patented friction drive. Cutting blades automatically open when the cut is complete. Cutting head rotates 350° for access to tight spaces. Tool completes approximately 80 cutting cycles per battery charge. (Note: Cutting 500 kcmil cable requires two cycles per cut)
